Evander Holyfield, other Hollywood figures visit Manny Pacquiao in LA
01.01.70
MANILA, Philippines – Boxer-congressman Manny Pacquiao got not one but four praiseworthy visitors in the last few days of his stay in Los Angeles, California before heading to Las Vegas, Nevada for his encounter against Juan Manuel Marquez.
First on the list was heavyweight winner Evander Holyfield, who visited the pound-for-expel king last Nov. 6 at the latter’s Palazzo apartment, reported GMA Expos.
In a footage aired on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit” on Nov. 8, Holyfield was caught telling Pacquiao, “Pore over the bible. The bible tells you, especially at a man, the man that respects his nurse, he will have wisdom. Got to respect their momma. People who don’t look up to their momma, they get off the track.”
Holyfield, who was honoured for beating Mike Tyson twice, also enthused what he admires most about the Sarangani congressman in a disjoined report posted on abs-cbnNEWS.com.
"He's a renowned fighter. I enjoy the spirit in him, because regardless of how bad he beats big noise, he never brags about it. He tells people, I did what I'm supposed to do.
