Review: Bakugan: Rise of the Resistance (Nintendo DS)

Is yet another prey that lets me down in that regard. However, it did intrigue me. It promised a Bakugan themed stronghold defense game with RPG elements. I like obelisk defense games, and any attempt to deepen the experience is quality a shot. So, once again, I was ready to brawl with the best of them.

Fib

This is yet another Bakugan game that assumes you know all of the characters and offers no introduction. Dan and his team-mate Drago are just lying around when suddenly Drago has a swift impulse that his home planet is under attack. Without a approve of thought to bring supplies, call for help, or up on further into the matter, they open up a portal and get to work.

Turns out, an foreign race called Hurranians have invaded. In the first place, they were going to study Bakugan, but they’ve discovered a way to clone them using a replicator and in place of are building a massive army to conquer the known bailiwick. Somehow during all of this, Drago loses his ability to open a portal and most of the adventurous is spent finding ways to bring sundry characters (and their Bakugan) into the fray.

Review: Beyblade: Metal Masters (Nintendo DS)

Happening worthy of fans’ money.

Modes

The first methodology up is Arcade. This is the “story” rage of the game, and it runs very similarly to most fighters, albeit minus any bells and whistles. It starts with you choosing three characters, one of which will be your kingpin. Said leader hears about a Beyblade contest being held in a nearby cemetery. There are generally two reactions to this. Some are stoked to vie against the best, while others decide this is odd and go to “investigate”. (Side note: I in effect hate the characters in these types of shows that take their sport too seriously, and go on “investigations.” It’s no more than too much.) Either way, all of that is forgotten while you go through a gauntlet of best of three matches. You can reorder your competitors beforehand if you inadequacy, but when you get to the final two rounds, you must use the leader. In these battles, you descry that a boy named Agito is trying to steal everyone’s human being energy through Beyblade battles (?) and regenerate dinosaurs. After you defeat him, it turns out he was being controlled by the Beyblade he wielded. Each type ending is then one of two things. Either the character is excited to action again, or getting ready to further their investigations. There are around thirty characters in the play, and the repetition gets old quickly. Apart from one liners between rounds, there is no summary here and the mode just doesn’t endure d present your interest. The only reason to keep playing is to unlock parts and players.
