"I like 'em. They're reasonably cool ...," the Eaton Elementary Middle school student said, before leaving to go bowling with the Power of Disport oneself fall camp for year-round discipline students. "I like the new tire swing because I like to be suspended on that. It's real cool."
A lot of work goes into making Power of Emphasize "cool."
Jessica and Armand Daniel took over ownership of the 10-year-old profession in August. The Daniels immediately began renovations, including adding lighting and tearing out 2,000 up feet of bathrooms (the facility was originally created to be a gym) to change room for the playsets the Daniels sell through their other business, PlayNation of Wilmington.
"It's such a smashing concept. The name says it all. The power of play to children is so important for their development," Jessica Daniel said. "We wanted to encounter in and intertwine our business with what (Power of Play) already had prosperous on . . . after-school, summer camp, the intersession camping-site, birthday parties."
Combining PlayNation with Power of Sport signals the achievement of a major goal for the Daniels, who have two children of their own, 3-year-old Turner and 5-year-old Lizzie, a College Reservation Elementary School student.
