Can anyone tell me the name of a kids books that has life size creepy dolls in it?
I comprehend a book a long time ago when I was in like 5th rank that had a town full of life size dolls, it was a creepy story but I scarcely remember anything about it. Does this sound unceremonious to anyone? Thanks!
"The Mennyms" by Sylvia Waugh? (a series)

"satisfactory family of life-size rag dolls" who inhabit a adipose old house in an English town. Some convenience life after their maker's death, the reader is told, the Mennyms came to life and step by step developed a number of ingenious strategies for making their way in the outlandish human world. Waugh develops this mercurial premise with rigorous logic: the dolls can't eat or hard stuff (but, with the exception of the philosophical blue doll Soobie, they all delight in pretend meals); they can't be killed (though a valid soaking is nearly fatal to mutinous Appleby); and they never grow older (Appleby celebrates her 15th birthday every July 4th). After four decades, however, their peculiarly atmospherics immortality has grown stale--Appleby, for happened, has been a surly adolescent for longer than her nurse cares to remember. A letter from the single-seeming heir of the Mennyms' absentee householder is the first of a series of events that triggers puzzling but ultimately welcome changes. This painful novel is good, old-fashioned dream at its finest."
