Urijah Faber talks UFC, 'Street Fighter'

Like millions of gamers worldwide, Urijah Faber grew up hooked on "Avenue Fighter."

Unlike millions of gamers, Faber then went on to become almost as fatal with his fists as Ken and Ryu.

"When I look back at all the fighting games I inured to to play and then I think about what I do now, it's a trip," Faber says with a brush aside as I get him on the phone to talk gaming and the UFC. "I always played as Ken. Those fireballs could helper me out in the Octagon."

These days, Faber is not only one of the biggest draws in the UFC, he's about to traverse his fighting debut in January in the "UFC Undisputed" video prepared franchise (Xbox 360, PS3).

Says Faber: "It's genuinely exciting. A lot of people have been asking me about it, and I've played the prepared before and love it, so I'm pretty pumped to go on there and beat some people up with my own action be featured, with my own likeness. I grew up playing video games, and all my favorites were fighting games like 'Byway someone's cup of tea Fighter' and 'Mortal Kombat' and 'Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!' I never could've imagined that one day I'd be in a video courageous. It's pretty cool."

Retronomicon 10.19.11: Batman Returns

Hello you engaging, beautiful people and welcome, once again, to your weekly does of retro gaming goodness. I on about the Retronomicon of course and, as ever, I am your illustrious host Lee Value. I've had a pretty good week this week. Had a dream of overdue catch-up with a close friend of mine and roughly I've spent the whole thing being lazy when I'm not working. Gain I saw the Lion King in 3D. In all fairness I wasn't so bothered about the 3D part, I was more turned on that I was seeing the Lion King on the big screen again. Yes I'm a big kid who loves nostalgia. Who would have guessed precisely? I'm also even more excited that the same cinema is going to be showing Ghostbusters in a three of weeks. As somebody who never got to see the original on the big screen, I don't value I need to detail just how excited I am for this. As for gaming, I've forth most of my time with Yakuza 3 and the new Pro Evo. I'm starting to work my way into Pro a ungenerous bit and my first instinct is that it's an
