WWE: A or B? Series 6: Who Had the Better WWE Career? Brock Lesnar or Goldberg?
31.12.69
Let me take you back, if I may, to WrestleMania XX. One of the matches that would now be viewed as a fantasy match turned out to be a complete debacle straight a few short years ago.
In what was widely viewed as one of the worst worked and lazy moving matches in wrestling history, Bill Goldberg took on Brock Lesnar . Two larger-than-viability figures in wrestling history were both on the way out of WWE after that day, and the fans were not shy in letting each man recall how they felt about their departures.
This must have been quite a blow to Vince McMahon, since both men had his idealistic look.Big, strong and muscular guys.
Looking back in both men's careers, they've both had a lot of celebrity in a number of avenues. Goldberg playing in the NFL for multiple teams as well as making his name in wrestling via WCW; and Lesnar frame atop the UFC for quite some time as their heavyweight hero.
Another similarity among the two is that, in their short time in WWE, both men had a measure of attainment in the company. Which begs the question, which man had the crap-shooter career of the two?

Bobcats Arena – Charlotte, North Carolina – June 25, 2006
This is a Raw marque pay-per-view but it will also feature some ECW talent. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are vocation the action from ringside.
MATCH #1: Kurt Look for vs. Randy Orton
Angle is one of the aforementioned ECW representatives. Orton channels his inner Larry Zbyszko and stalls in the early prevailing. An aggressive Angle gives chase and almost German Suplexes Orton of the apron. Position settles for a release German Suplex on the parquet. Back in the ring Angle tries to wrestle his foe, but Orton thumbs him in the eyes. Orton hits a dropkick and hurls Slant to the floor. Back in the ring Orton uses the dreaded chinlock and thwarts Side’s comeback attempts. Orton goes up top but Be after pops up there and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Now Projection starts throwing suplexes, but when he goes for the Oblique Slam Orton counters with the inverted backbreaker for two. Orton loosens one of the turnbuckle pads, and then gets trapped in the rolling German Suplexes – eight of them! The last one sends Orton rolling to the lowest level, and Angle has to retrieve him before making the cover and getting a two-bank on. Angle goes for the Ankle Lock but Orton kicks out of it and pulls off the turnbuckle pad, giving Cusp the chance to hit another German Suplex. The straps sink in fare down and Angle locks on the Ankle Lock! Orton rolls through and is qualified to kick Angle into the exposed turnbuckle and then the RKO to get the pin at 12:45. If I’m not out of order this would be Angle’s last pay-per-view match before making the rebuke to TNA. I think eight straight German Suplexes is a bit much but other than that the join was rock-solid and a good choice for an opener to get the cram going. Rating: *
