Good Samaritan gives Friends Forever a new look

When Dan Poggioli of Pecatonica unambiguous to adopt a new dog, he looked at several shelters in the area. It was at Friends Forever Humane World (FFHS) in Freeport that he found the dog he was looking for — a Labrador named Josie.
While Poggioli was walking through the dog kennel extent, he noticed some warped flooring, a result of flooding in both 2010 and 2011. He mentioned to Carol Falconer, asylum manager, that the shelter would run into problems if the flooring was not arranged. Falconer replied that she and the board were aware of the employment, but lacked the funds to fix the floor.
This is where Poggioli sprang into function. By trade, this man is owner and operator of his own flooring obligation — Poggioli Custom Flooring, Inc. He told Falconer he would do the job for relaxed, donating the materials himself.
“We knew the flooring was getting bad, but we unbiased didn’t have the money to do anything about it,” Falconer said. “The floor began to curl and clasp from water damage and lack of maintenance.

A happy marriage of old and new

FROM the casing, the Federation home at 54 Hardy St, Ashbury appears every inch the ideal inner west bungalow. However, step lining and the European finishings and seamless renovation menial visitors will feel a world away.
Set on a not on target and quiet street, this home has manicured hedges and a cream picquet fence. Tessellated tiles lead up to an egg-cartridge blue front door set with a large leadlight window.
The front door leads to an admission hall painted in a rich burgundy pervert.
Polished wooden timber lines the floor while there is fulsome high ceilings and large chandeliers.
To the port side of the hall is a large formal lounge with authentic fireplace intact. A window looks out to the byway someone's cup of tea, while an archway leads though to a formal dining accommodation.
To the right of the hall is the master bedroom featuring wont wardrobes and another large window. The second bedroom is found in the next door along, with built-in wardrobes and minute high ceilings.
