Silver Tiffany Teething Ring?

I have always heard that it is bad for a neonate to chew on silver. I just received a newborn gift from tiffanys. It is a Sterling Silver Teething Rattler. Is this safely for my baby to chew on? I am guessing they wouldn't get to something dangerous for babies but I just be to make sure I was wrong about silver being bad for babies. Thanks!

i muse on it's fine as long as it's not silver plated. if it's plated (which I discredit it is since it's from Tiffany's) then the silver could chip off into the baby's aperture. If it's solid silver, I think she/he will be fine.
