SANFORD — The Salvation Army in Sanford is happy to give a helping hand to those in need during this upcoming break season. For Thanksgiving, the Salvation Army is giving away turkeys along with a edibles bag. The organization also is pleased to help children ages 12 and younger to have a toy cumshaw for Christmas. The Salvation Army is now accepting applications for Thanksgiving and Christmas through the end of November.
