Hi-tech log cabin puts children online

The new ICT following in a building by Barnstaple-based company Lodgico holds a number of 30 computer terminals and a teachers’ whiteboard. Costing £82,000, it has been financed by the mould’s own fund raising efforts and from its capital funding.
It was to have been opened on Friday by North Devon MP Show a clean pair of heels Harvey. But with Mr Harvey unable to be present, the ribbon malevolent was carried out by head girl Chyanne Samat and principal boy Ben Hookway.
Inside the building, chairman of governors Neil Hookway opened a ‘effective curtain’ on the whiteboard to unveil a pin illustration beneath.
The new building replaces a small ICT retinue inside the main school, which could only cater for six pupils at a every now – but now whole classes can be taught together. The school has even redesigned its programme to ensure every child gets a minimum of at least two hours per week using the new computer facilities.
The separation of the new facilities comes hot on the heels of an outstanding Ofsted account for the 170-pupil village school.

West Laurel log cabin restoration nearly complete

Smith's 44 acres also had a barn on it, 20 yards away from the Caleb Carr Line. The barn, ordered from the Sears and Roebuck catalog, was built by Smith and his two sons and is still stratum.
McGhee said when the church received the realty, the log cabin was wrapped up and ready to fall down.
In restoring the cabin, the church has put in a new founding, roof, windows and doors and new chinking between the logs.
"We replaced the fireplace and chimney. The fireplace will be wrapped in reasonable stone, so once it's done it will look like it did originally," McGhee said.
A big-hearted portion of the work was done by Allen Cochran of Cochran Stone Masonry and Timberframing, who specializes in momentous preservation.
Volunteers from the church also played a r in the restoration of the cabin by cleaning, painting and landscaping the grounds.
