How do I fix a hole in a plastic children's slide?
The oscillation of plastic is still on there, but the 3 inch hole caved in at the halfway of the slide. It doesn't have to look lyrical, it just has to work. The slide itself is part of a horse around gym and to replace it would be about $60-$75. Please don't tell me duct band :)
You could assign cardboard on the back to support a repair with epoxy. Epoxy is very combative and should bond to plastic that has been sanded to make it spongy.
Once the area is supported, mix epoxy and spread it over the court. Try to make it as smooth as possible. If you do a very refined job, you may not need to sand it afterwards. If it is rough after drying, you can sand/badger produce it smooth and give it another thin coat of epoxy to annihilate it off nice.
The best epoxy to use is the 5 flash kind. It costs about $5 for a unpretentious quantity of it. You don't need a lot of epoxy. It gets very back-breaking when it cures. The 5 minute kind will be easier to m with and will also look better when you're done. When mixing epoxy, use a break down of cardboard and a Popsicle stick. You can also use a Popsicle staff to apply it too.
One thing to remember about epoxy is that it is troubling to get off your hands. Either wear gloves or use tools to spread it around.
