Toyfair organiser Michael Bishop’s upon collie Lola is in the dog house after eating a rare Batmobile model significance hundreds of pounds.
The model was due to go on sale at Michael’s toyfair at Doncaster Racecourse on Sunday November 6th, but is now almost wretched after Lola decided to play with it.
“I was examining the Batmobile and I turned my back for a few moments to go and respond the phone,” said Michael, who lives in Driffield. “And when I turned completion the damage was done.”
The 1967 Batmobile had been in mint ready. Not only did seven-year-old Lola chew the box and means, but the Batman and Robin characters are also missing.
“This is the first point something like this has happened since I started buying and selling toys approaching half a century ago. And I certainly won’t let it happen again,” said 65-year-old Michael, who has had to pay the Batmobile’s proprietress compensation of £850.
“I am always really careful with any toys in my attack and keep them under lock and key. And from now on I shall be keeping Lola away from them too!

"It has Duplo bricks on the heart!" reveals Jill Swidler, Legoland Florida's marketing executive.
The life-size model of Ford's sports utility instrument is made from 382,000 bricks.
Before arriving at the new Legoland notion park in Winter Haven, the vehicle's immutable stop was at News 13 in Orlando.
What took Lego builders 25,000 hours to fabricate is now on permanent display at the Ford Driving Prepare ride inside the theme park.
"The wheels are made out of Lego bricks, so it does not go anywhere," Swidler said.
Yet, children ages 2 to 12 at the reservation will go faster than the display featuring solid and sheer bricks.
"Our cars inside the park go about three miles per hour and that would perhaps go about the same if we could push it that fast," Swidler joked.
