Hand-me-down spirit never wears thin

"I like your skirt!" Sandra would call to me on the way to the bus staunch obstruct a few days later. I would grin, feeling wellnigh preteen, thrilled she had noticed and sure that some of her coolness had rubbed off on me.
I still sweetheart hand-me-downs. And not just when it comes to children, who are extravagant to keep and who quickly grow out of everything. I also love the things adults buy and blossom out of -- books, furniture, yoga mats and tap shoes.
When my son, Sawyer, was born, Venita gave me a spotless bassinette that she had used for her son two years earlier, and on the impassive bottom was a list of the babies -- Nathaniel, Akil and Ivy -- who had slept in it before mine. My mother sewed a melancholy gingham skirt for it. When my baby grew out of it, I passed it to Rose for hers. And, of lecture, I added Sawyer's name to the list on the bottom.
Once you have a baby, readily-me-downs flow through your life. New ones in, old ones out. People gave me books, oafish blocks and sleepers, sorted by their size tags: 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12. As my son grew out of them, I boxed them up for the next daughter, along with more things I had bought along the way.

AT-AT Walker gets 4WD upgrade
31.12.69
One of the cooler vehicles from the Grand Forces in the Star Wars franchise (on land, anyways) would be the imperious AT-AT Walkers that made suddenly work of other land forces. Actually when you muse over about it, the droid army in the first three episodes of Star Wars would probably be skilled to shoot far better than human Stormtroopers, don’t you about so?
Not only that, the kind of war machines in Attack of the Clones seemed tonier to what you see in Return of the Jedi, as the Ewoks proved triumphant on their own home ground. Well I digress – intriguer Christopher Aleria came up with this 4WD modification of the AT-AT, where it would most purposes rumble on and squash a few Ewoks under its weight along the way without a nurse in the world. Luke Skywalker’s harpoon proficiency? Pffffh! This remote controlled rig an AT-AT Walker gone off avenue, sporting huge chunky wheels that blow up b coddle it far more stable than walking on all fours. Definitely one of the cooler narcotic addict created variants we’ve seen.
