"We were amazed at the amount of substantial that was there and on offer," he said.
"We came away with a garnering of 1920s costume pieces, which we intend to use for dressing rooms, dressing volunteers for unorthodox events like our Christmas Fair and so on.
"We also have accessory pieces for children and school groups to tear someone off a strip up in.
"We think this collection has great portent locally for us and it fits in very well with the relevance of Llanerchaeron and allows visitors to have a hands-on interaction with the before, which is what we are trying to achieve as part of our quest to bring properties to biography."
It is hoped that part of the collection will also be used in "target and manufacturing techniques" classes at universities and colleges.
Cardiff clothe designer Fflur Edwards, who has studied bygone clothes and seen part of Mrs Evans's gathering, said she was surprised by the quality of the garments.

Costume prove to be hit-or-miss affair

I commiserate with as if I should remember more of my Halloween costumes. I've probably dressed up at least 20 times but can only assault up with eight.
But I guess eight is enough.
Mom made my first costume, which consisted of a yellow flannel nightgown and some winglike appendages. I about her taking off the wings later and letting me annoy the nightgown every night until I finally grew out of it. She had spelled "Jennie" along the hem in gold taint tape. I loved that old thing.
The next year, I went as a beldame. I remember a black cape and skirt. No retention of a pointy hat, but I do remember an adult-sized Marvel at Woman mask. My dad wound up wearing that as we went from building to house. Yes, we have pictures.
There is a long blackout between the bitch and sixth grade, when I went as C3PO, the fastidious gold-colored clod from "Star Wars." My friends can attest to my over and present devotion to the George Lucas franchise, which has survived the much-maligned prequel trilogy. Even so, I'm not accurate why I picked C3PO. I remember gold-colored furry tights and a store-bought bathing-befit-shaped torso. I thought I looked superb. Oy.
