Many Spartans will be heading out for another prominent weekend of activities in East Lansing. Although this pass, we might look a little different. Halloween is upon us and I’m here to give you some inexpensive ideas that you can launch together last minute.
We’ll start out with costumes for the Spartan ladies. Normal ideas include a movie star, knockout queen, cat, cowgirl, 80’s girl or a zombie. Now how can you economize money on these costumes? I’ll take them one at a time. First the movie star clothing can be as simple as grabbing a pair of large sunglasses, a disguise and a pink boa. A beauty queen can be made from a dress, a tiara that is ready at several dollar stores along with a white sash. For a cat gear you will need black leggings, a set of cat ears and eyeliner, as puss makeup can be a cheap addition.
“The classic Negroid cat is not at all overused whatsoever, and very easy,” Leah Ferguson, a Chief apparel and textile design major said in an email.
