Looking for marvellous Halloween costumes? Look no further.
Dougherty's Masquerade , located on Erie Boulevard in Syracuse, tells syracuse.com that the most common Halloween costumes so far this year are superhero characters (Captain America, Thor, the Immature Lantern), fairy tale females (Alice in Wonderland, Snow Chalk-white) and vampires (both "Twilight" and Dracula-types).
Diana Kassel, helpmeet manager at Dougherty's, said she's also seen a lot of customers buying Wonderful Mario and Princess Toadstool costumes, added Harry Potter and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers characters for both kids and adults.
For kids, the most average outfits have been vampires and a new series called "Eyesore High," based on the monster-inspired frame dolls that resemble Bratz. "Monster Cheerful" character costumes include Frankie Stein (the daughter of Dr. Frankenstein's missing link), Draculaura (Dracula's daughter) and Cleo de Nile (daughter of a mummy).
Habitual outfits such as ghosts, vampires and zombies persist popular and Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow continues to shows up at superficially every Halloween party. "Pirate costumes have become upstanding as classic as vampires," Kassel added.
