Epping news briefs

Still looking for a Halloween livery?

EPPING — Patrons of Epping's Harvey-Mitchell Cenotaph Library are encouraged to come browse through Error Tracie's Costume Closet. With dozens of children's costumes donated by city families, there's bound to be something an undecided goblin might hunger for to wear. The vast majority of costumes are preschool-sized, though there are many infant and toddler costumes, and a growing multitude of school age sizes as well. All that is required is a valid HMML comedian to borrow a costume for the entire Halloween "occasion". Additional donations of gently used (or new) costumes will be accepted throughout October.

The annual Halloween fete on Friday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30, will take games, crafts and a library-wide spooky scavenger search, all designed for children ages 2 to 10 and their families. Everyone is encouraged to drag a costume, but due to the young age of many party-goers, masks and weapons will not be allowed. Weighty up in the children's room to donate an item for the Think of Food Buffet, snacks varied and substantial enough to regard as dinner on party night.
