Nutcracker Ballet at Schaumburg Prairie Center Dec. 2-11
The Schaumburg Gambol Ensemble presents Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet, The Nutcracker, for two weekends well-spring December 2 at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts. Performances will be held Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 1 pm and 5 pm.
The product, featuring professional dancers along with area performers, has become a unswerving family holiday tradition at the Prairie Center. “In into the bargain to wowing crowds with inventive choreography and radiant costumes, this production provides dramatic impact through its notice to the story,” says the Prairie Center’s Rob Pileckis. Last narration provided by Drosselmeyer, whose gift of a nutcracker to a youthful girl at a Christmas gathering inspires a pipedream world of colorful characters, “instantly draws youthful audiences into the performance and keeps them entertained through the end bows,” adds Pileckis.
The Nutrcracker is directed by Alberto Arias, Michele Leslie Holzman, and Lisa Sheppard, with additional choreography by Autumn Eckman.
