Warren Gatwood, president of the guild, is an artist, carver and wood turner. One parcel of the same thing he showed off to fellow artist Brunson and longtime Semmes neighbouring Lib Dodd was a carved blue jay. "I'm so proud of this squad," said Dodd, a supporter of the arts in Semmes.

Fundraisers
The annual Spaghetti Dinner and Bake On sale at St. Michael Episcopal Church, 300 Concede St. in Chickasaw, is Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $7. The Chunchula Poorhouse Demonstration Club fundraiser is Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red-letter Chunchula Schoolhouse, 11176 Rudolph Gallasch Entr at Roberts Road.
