Halloween costumes, traditional and new, fly off shelves

His progenitrix, Leslie Barrett Hardy, laughed, “You superior not smash anything.”
The two joined many others Tuesday evening browsing the aisles of Spartanburg concentration stores, Spirit Halloween and Halloween Articulate, looking for that special costume.
Some of the children and adult shoppers had a familiar idea of what they want to be this Halloween, while others had no clue.
Eight-year-old Cooper Chen at wanted to wear a mask like members of the band Slipknot, but he said his parents would not let him. “I don't positive what I want to be now,” he said.
Brianna Hoffman, a follower at Converse College, did not have any ideas for a costume but says she predominantly looks for something funny.
For 4-year-old Noah Ramsey, the ideas were numberless.
“I want to be a ninja or Chuckie … or an Army man,” he said enthusiastically.
“Estimate up your mind,” his mother, Nikki Ramsey, laughed.

Mystic Masquerade Oct. 28 at Ohana Pier in Slidell

Guests are encouraged to chafing masks to the festive, seasonal celebration.
This is the wink Mystic Masquerade and, because of its success last year, it will become an annual fundraising anyhow presented by SMH Foundation. Tickets still are available at $75 per myself or $1,000 for a table of eight with sponsorship recognition.

One of the highlights this year is a undisturbed auction featuring more than 30 masks, each uniquely decorated by municipal artists. Additionally, there will be wine baskets, overnight stays in New Orleans, genius certificates and more. To add to the fun, patrons can capture a record of the costumes and masks at a photo cubicle.
Local restaurateurs will be serving a cornucopia of treats including: Copeland’s, oblation Shrimp Orleans over cheesy grits; Italian Pie, providing chicken wings and spinach/artichoke dip; Habano’s Wine Basement, creating a variety of hot paninis on-site; Sunrise
