What toy shouldn't we start up with?
01.01.70
I am enjoying Christmas shopping this year. The kids get frenzied about presents, and it’s been a lot of fun for me to think about their Christmas lists.
But I gawk if there’s a certain type of toy we shouldn’t start up with because it will become a wildly costly hobby (American Girl Dolls). We are already into the Thomas the Tank Machine thing, so there’s no stopping that one. I’ll be buying new trains for years. Large thing they prefer the cheapest ones in the straight.
I was looking for something special for Matilda this weekend (scored an tiptop deal on roller skates for the kids on the last day of a Toys ‘R’ Us purchase — two for less than the price of one). And I began to wonder whether I was accepted down a dangerous road. There were Calico Critters, who stay in homes that cost more than my house if you made the toy woodland creature-to-one cost adjustments. And there were Breyer horses, which merely look like a bad, bad road to trot down, even though she loves horses.
