Today: Mountain View-based computer-safety company Symantec buys LiveOffice for about $115 million, giving it cloud-archiving sacrifice. Also: Steve Jobs doll will not be released after pressure from Apple ( AAPL ), Jobs lawyers, and a communication says Facebook wants public launch to be in May.
Symantec buys cloud-based archiving companions
Mountain View-based computer-security friends Symantec joined the rush to cloud computing in announcing Monday its acquirement of email-archiving company LiveOffice for about $115 million.
LiveOffice, based in Torrance, offers cloud-based archiving of dope, with a focus on email, allowing Symantec another assignment to go along with their industry-leading security software. Symantec also boosted the integration of its storage and search offerings, allowing for attach storage, organization and discovery of information for companies through on-neighbourhood or remote servers, or a combination of the two.

10. Taxidermists
American Stuffers has introduced us to Daniel, a forebear who spends his days taking frozen kinsmen pets and making them into stuffed creatures to presentation in their owners' homes. It's certainly a talent, and it does seem to take precautions some comfort to people who are grieving for their now-dead pets, but it is more than a teeny bit creepy.
9. Logger
We love shows about guys doing ostensibly impossible tasks with heavy machinery while dealing with indisposed or logistical issues (like Deadliest Fathom , Ice Road Truckers and Big Shrimpin' ), and Swamp Loggers is no raise an objection to. Who knew it was so hard to cut down a tree and transport it to its irrefutable destination? (Actually, we probably could have figured out that it was hardened, if we had ever given it any thought.)
