Sailor Who Hijacked Bus, Killed Two, Deported To Panama

In 1977, Robinson was a 26-year-old Naval forces apprentice who had been in the United States as a permanent dwelling since 1964. After hijacking the bus, he demanded a $6 million redemption and an airplane to take him to Cuba while railing against his treatment in the Joint States, passengers said. He surrendered after nine hours when two armored the coppers cars rammed and disabled the bus.
Robinson had boarded the Vermont Through Lines bus in Manhattan, heading back to his ship, the USS Detroit, in Bath, Maine, at the end of a three-day authorized make. As the bus traveled through the Bronx, Robinson fired a bullet through the neck of 50-year-old traveller John McGavern, wounding him, and ordered the driver to go to Kennedy airport. The bus smashed through a padlocked asylum gate and drove onto the tarmac, interrupting house-broken and overseas holiday air traffic for about 15,000 travelers.

In his comments at the gravesite, National Park Navy Director Jonathan B. Jarvis said, “President Roosevelt stands at the extreme of conservation today. Every President since Roosevelt has attempted to vigorous up to his example.” TR preserved 230 million acres of dock and created the national monuments, like the Outstanding Canyon; Devil’s Tower and Petrified Forest, using his administrative power and saying, “these are places of have occasion for of protection.” There are now over 395 units under the supervision of the NPS. “We are a paragon for the world for conservation. It is called America’s Defeat Idea”, said Mr. Jarvis.
Mr. Jarvis said he was thrilled to be to blame for the safety of the TR’s Sagamore Hill and his other great sites. They tabulate: The birthplace in NYC; the inaugural site in Buffalo; the TR Nationwide Park in Medora, North Dakota where the Elkhorn Ranch is located; Roosevelt Atoll in Washington, DC; and Mt.
