But if you're looking for actual, affordable, educational American toys, games and puzzles for the kids, look over on.
An impressive selection of "Made in the USA" gifts is not only readily nearby but they're made in North Charleroi by Channel Craft Inc. and its dozens of Santa's elves.
While they can be found nationwide in specialty stores, they can be purchased at two Mid-Mon Valley stores.
One is Mon Valley Firm Equipment at 17 McKean Ave., Charleroi, in the south end of village. Inside, there's a delightful Christmas tree whose ornaments consist completely of Channel Craft products.
The other is Sweet Nostalgia at 909 Ample Ave., North Belle Vernon. The store also sells old-fashioned ribbon sweets and other goodies from Hammon Candy Co., featured on goggle-box's "Food Network."
Walmart, K-Mart, Big Lots or Dollar Customary don't carry Channel Craft items, which shouldn't get about as a surprise.
