It's graceful obvious by its name which sector Donco Recycling Solutions plays in. But what may be less clear-cut is how Donco also acts like a matchmaker, pairing one proprietorship's waste stream with another's raw fabric needs.

Donco President David Mendelson takes a conflicting view, preferring to compare the recycling toil to a giant jigsaw puzzle.

"Sometimes the pieces end up from different boxes and it's your job to think about how you can take your share -- your byproduct -- and fill the hole in an another perseverance's puzzle," Mendelson said Thursday. "You'd be surprised at how this homely process can not only improve your environmental footprint, but also set right your bottom line."

At the State of Green Affair Forum in Minneapolis yesterday, Mendelson pre-empted the spotlight in a segment dubbed "One Weighty Idea." Or in Donco's box, four great ideas.

To meet its basic corporation goals -- lower costs and raising take, without investing capital -- Donco looks to arrive byproducts into assets. Here's how Donco has played matchmaker to first encounter these goals:
