Hey, Answerman!
I will admit that I am (almost) expressly ignorant of the legal side of the anime industry. Recently I knowledgeable that streaming rights and physical distribution rights are completely many from each other. Though it seems kind of obvious now, I thought a company could get the rights to show and that left them free to both put it on-line and dispose of it in stores. My question is this then: A company has a show that they have gotten the rights to issue/ release, it's long been out of print. There's no guarantee that someone else will pick it up after all this metre, which is why I'll always treasure the physical book I keep in my library.
